PHRE Festival präsentiert eine Outdoor-Nacht mit Raï, diasporischen Clubsounds und Dancefloor-Auswahl mit Adil Smaali & Le Grand Bal Raï, Lucy Sky und Djay Darismus. Unter der Leitung des Sängers und Guembri-Spielers Adil Smaali feiert Le Grand Bal Raï die goldene Ära des algerischen Raï und bringt sie in die Gegenwart. Inspiriert von Persönlichkeiten wie Cheb Khaled, Cheikha Rimitti und Rachid Taha vereint das Ensemble nordafrikanische Melodien, Percussion, Violine, Bass und elektronische Akzente zu einer kraftvollen, tanzbaren Liveshow. More than a tribute, it is a high-energy reinterpretation of Raï’s rebellious and emotional spirit. Before and after the concert, Lucy Sky und Djay Darismus guide the evening through global musical rabbit holes, obscure danceable sounds, Iranian and Azerbaijani influences, and borderless selections rooted in Munich’s independent scene.
