Theatreship invites lobby and Free Lunch onboard our 113-year-old cargo ship. lobby and Free Lunch take to the Theatreship stage for the first time with this exciting double-headlined evening. Here is some more information about the performances: Bonding over a mutual love of bands like Duster and Acetone, musicians Lottie Pendlebury (guitarist / singer / songwriter Goat Girl) and Toby Evans-Jesra (gitarrist / singer / songwriter of leather.head) set to work making tunes soon after meeting. Enlisting a trusted friend in Josh Gormley on drums, who immediately got what the pair were after, lobby was formed adn the trio’s endearing brand of strung-out alt-rock is an intimate and welcome counterpoint to the frenetic energy of some of their other musical outlets. Free Lunch is a brotherly duo based in Brockley, formed by Henry (sprog) and Ted (wilder) Scanlan. They trade in sweet melodies wrapped up in strange textures and blood harmonies. Since releasing folky mini-album 'Dumbwaiter' on Devil Town Tapes and self-releasing the genre-hopping EP 'Blink Once For Chip' last year, the brothers have been scattering bootlegs and b-sides across south London as they gear up for their next big project.
