This tour is a special celebration of the deep friendship and musical connection between Magnus and John. It serves as a beautiful prelude to the release of many new songs this year and next. In addition to playing new material, previously released tracks (including some by Zenmenn) will be reworked and reduced to their essence. John Moods creates marginal pop songs that hit right to the heart, like arrows. His colorful arrangements highlight his voice and intuitive melodies, while his lyrics explore themes such as death, divinity, and the mysteries of life. Growing up in the outskirts of West Berlin, Moods began playing guitar very young and wrote his first songs and played in groups since the age of 13. In 2012, he co-founded the artistic rock group Fenster. After releasing four albums with the group, he embarked on a solo career in 2018 with The Essential John Moods on the label Mansions and Millions, followed by So Sweet So Nice in 2021, which includes a poetry collection titled Sounds of a Clown in collaboration with Arbutus Records. His latest solo album, The Great Design, was released in 2022. He has also collaborated on notable projects, such as Hidden Gem with The Zenmenn in 2022 and a album under the name of Dead Sound with Young Marco in 2024, both published on the label Music from Memory. Moods has toured extensively in Europe, sharing the stage with artists like Sean Nicholas Savage, Black Marble, Jonathan Bree, Homeshake, Porches, The Zenmenn, and Devendra Banhart.
