Influenced by post-punk, egg punk, and krautrock, TVOD seamlessly blends musical genres in a natural way. The band was founded by singer-songwriter Tyler Wright and includes drummer Mem Pahl, bassist Micki Piccirillo, synthesizer player Jenna Mark, and guitarists Serge Zbritzher and Denim Casimir. Known for its raw, no-nonsense, and unpredictable performances, the six-member group has played numerous tours in the US, Canada, and Europe, including at festivals like SXSW, Hopscotch, Sled Island, and Concrete Jungle, alongside groups like Warmduscher, Snõõper, Gustaf, Civic, and Soul Glo. BASIC PARTNER, inspired by the dark and cinematic atmospheres of David Lynch and the pop and bright colors of Shame, creates an electronic sound world around textured electronics and sharp riffs, revealing the tensions and complexities of modern life.
