ARTISTAThe Smiths

The Smiths sono un gruppo rock inglese degli anni Ottanta, associato a Manchester. La formazione si sviluppò nel 1982: Johnny Marr alla chitarra e Morrissey alla voce principale erano membri originari; Mike Joyce suonava la batteria e Andy Rourke il basso. Dale Hibbert fu membro aggiuntivo al basso nel 1982, mentre Craig Gannon fu membro aggiuntivo alla chitarra nel 1986.

Tra le pubblicazioni del gruppo figurano gli album The Smiths (1984), Meat Is Murder (1985) e The Queen Is Dead (1986). Strangeways, Here We Come uscì nel 1987. Nel 1988 fu pubblicato anche l’EP The 12″ Mixes.
