The Academy Of Ancient Music es una orquesta formada en 1973. Entre sus publicaciones está el álbum de 1975 dedicado a Johann Stamitz, compartido con Alan Hacker y Christopher Hogwood. En 1976 apareció Stabat Mater / Nisi Dominus / Concerto in G minor, junto a Antonio Vivaldi y James Bowman; Six Flute Concertos, op. 10, publicado en 1977, cuenta con Antonio Vivaldi, Stephen Preston y Christopher Hogwood.

En 1980 la orquesta publicó Rebel: Les Elémens / Destouches: Les Eléments con Jean‐Féry Rebel, André Cardinal Destouches y Christopher Hogwood. Entre sus lanzamientos más recientes, Infinite Refrain: Music of Love’s Refuge (2023) incluye a Randall Scotting, Jorge Navarro Colorado y Laurence Cummings. En 2024 aparecieron Piano Concertos Nos. 6, 7 & 8, con Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Robert Levin, Ya-Fei Chuang, Laurence Cummings y Bojan Čičić, y Piano Concertos nos. 25 & 27, con Mozart, Robert Levin, Louise Alder y Richard Egarr. John Weldon: The Judgment of Paris se publicó en 2025.
