Visible Cloaks celebrates their new song on RVNG: Paradessence.∆ Pushing forward their evolution since 2014, Spencer Doran and Ryan Carlile have created a complex map of opposing concepts: organic and artificial, random and intentional, authentic and repeated.The title of their new album, taken from the satirist Alex Shakar, directly represents these tensions: the *paradessence* of the consumer product is the “schismatic core” that gives rise to its desirability (for example, coffee is desired to be both relaxing and stimulating at the same time).The balance of *Paradessence* brings these tensions to bear in a more urgent way, as life in the 21st century is ordered by these same tensions.
